To the Land of stars and stripes we go
Our land of our adoption - we were invited by the Lady with the lamp come and rest yourself. The land of freedom, the land of dreams becoming reality. The Land of the Eagle, Buffalo and Bear - from marsh and swamps to rolling hills with blue grass to mountains that tower like huge breasts
Concrete jungles with crowded buildings as many flock to seek there place in the sun. Amusement centers from A wheel to a mouse try to attract many to fill the void as unhappiness sweeps the masses for what they don't have.
Beautiful rivers now polluted by toxic waste as pollutants pour into one pure fish laden streams - now containing disease from sewage and chemicals - the natural giving way to the fake - the imitation - from implants to veneer - it's not real it's not what it seems - all's not gold that glitters - anything for the $ it's worshiped and families are sold for a few. Intoxicants and enhancements now needed - as many retreat into a cyber existence of someone elses life lived through a big screen - as Hollywood has set the norm and lowered the bar - morality has been taken away - anything goes - as long as it feels good no matter who it hurts - what happens here stays here - they hide behind the mask - an ash on the forehead makes it right. Live like there is no tomorrow - no afterlife - decisions made based on what's good for the moment - instant gratification if it's longer than 4 hours then see a Dr - he will make it right - medication that masks giving temporary relief with side effects bringing on death - however that's collateral damage that must be accepted en-route to create that next income - people want it it's expected so - the end justifies the means - the food that's not food but imitation looks like the real but cannot de digested by the body as the racks in the super markets contain hybrid genetically altered chemicalized edibles the have a shelf life longer than a human. Kids growing up thinking of self parents that have shown them the wrong way even though their words sounded right the actions spoke louder -what the parents did in moderation the children did in excess - the result is a culture that has no anchor - nothing to cling to - superman, spiderman and every bodies a hero - even a leader who promised the sun however can't change a light bulb. False weights and balances - the promise of happiness - the emotion and the high at the end of the day leaves one empty and thirst and dry. Schools that dumb down that narrow the view - universities that lengthen and educate the few - while ignorance reigns supreme as some think San Francisco is the home of the Queen - a skewed world view where some don't know that Mexico borders Texas - and the world series is played among us with no one from the world communication is filtered with it's political correctness - no offense I won't tell it like it is - my yes is not yes my no is not no go means stop and stop means go - white is black and black is white - good means bad and bad means good - all are sad and don't know why 1/3 rd under treatment for depression for unreasonable expectations - it's someone elses fault My families dysfunctional can't you see a new trailer, pickup and dog for me - a wife O I have had 1, 2 or three. Fly now pay later I will live beyond my means - everybody give me a hand out you owe it to me - welfare - clothing food and a car - I will strike it rich I'll spin the wheel - I will pull the arm of a god as I worship I will put a coin in - hoping he will have mercy on me and spit a jackpot on me - rags to riches as millions I'll find now problems start lawyers, CPA's and Financial advisers  all want their dime. A litigious society we now have - your word is not your bond as covenants are broken - promises made that are not kept vows broken - It will be alright my intention was better than the way it turned out!
While the talk is about a better future a dream the future looks bleak the dream becomes a nightmare as everything spirals out of control - the politicians that are more interested in their pensions the bailout of aig shows -paper money printed - as more and more banks close - shrinking the credit of those whose bills are paid up to date not because they can't afford it or their payment is late - they have no money and everything is faked - wall streets just numbers - they play - inflated wealth on paper - as junk bonds and debts are bought in a batch and sold for a song - collateral means nothing even land that's paid off - you can't leverage they won't give you money based on your worth because they don't have it - they are bankrupt - the Feds loosing 10 billion they don't know what happened they can't explain - Bonnie and Clyde are saints - al Capone and organized crime eradicated - I think not - they hide behind their interpretation of the law - and laws can be changed as liberal judges seek to move the boundaries and ancient marks that have held a society for centuries - checks and balances are now being lost - modern day slavery as millions now form the mundane 9 - 5 work place for minimum wage - because of no education illiteracy abounds - someones eaten my cheese - and there's a hefalump and woosle. Image is everything or so it seems even though everything is coming apart at the seems - we will hold it together with duct tape I bought it from the mart - The odometer rolled back it's a deal it's a deal - spring sale labor day and thanksgiving too - Christmas in July and this is only a few - march madness - valentines - mothers day too - fathers and secretaries they are gonna get you - drinking hot coffee from a Styrofoam benzine cup no wonder I can remember Alzheimers and the shakes - imitation sweeteners - I can't concentrate - I took a pill it came from mexico - Canada made the way - a baby was aborted right in the birth canal it wasn't out yet - it did not even breath air - its voice will not be heard not will its little fingers play - the right of a woman and man to walk their promiscuous way - aids hiv homosexual same sex marriage all is the norm - not one will be ready for the coming a perfect storm - however I will save the planet - the earths getting warmer - I will hug a tree did you see that spotted owl  - no hunting take away their guns - give them medication, let them smoke medicinal weed - they will kill themselves -their elderly they will put to sleep - the money stealers 5 life sentences they will have but murderers and rapist are up for parole - millions of laws on the statute books but it's left to interpretation - as attorneys take retainers but won't produce - it's better to keep this going for as long as they can - it's a cash cow I tell you whether guilty of not - who cares it's about job security - don't feel like working never put off today what you can put off tomorrow - I take what's not mine - others reputation money and time and expect to be paid - this right is mind - someone owes me - have you not seen my resume - just give me the dollars - give it to me now - salary advance - hey you can get your tax back - before the date - take the cruise tomorrow is another day - holiday, vacation I don't want to work hard - I have many gifts and talents however that's not in my job description if they want mr to do that they will have to pay me more - that's why I work three jobs - I have to have more - jack of all trades and master of none - I just want my money and blondes just want to have fun. Hot dogs and hamburgers and pizza too cotton candy -that carousel - that looks pretty on you - I am covered so sue me see if I care I know it was in the contract but I am no longer their - someone else bought your loan - it's changed hands a few times - the piece of the equipment it's out of date and what do I care you payment is late -the life time guarantee - whose life - that of a flee - misrepresent your self - promise the moon make up stories something will take soon - someone will be duped - someone will be conned and when they find out too late I will be gone - the suit doesn't fit the tickets non refundable that is not covered in your policy - you were told that - O well it's take it or leave it or you can go to there's a hurricane coming go get some water and we better batting down the hatches because this house is made out of wood - built in 30 days something for humanity - the mayors toupee is now in another county - body bags are piling up -but only a few death the media will squash it we can't have fear - tell them all it's safe and all is well - buy something eat something if you don't you can all go to the ball game - best out of 7 - why if it's just 1 then maybe it was not a win - rigged fights - staged matches - future payouts - money for promotions - give the people want they want - they will pay - it's on demand - it's pay per view - pornography - Internet access - we are surfing in cyberspace - online relationships - we've been talking looking for a mate - cyber sex - a camera - I can view - wonder why I am so empty how about you - no feeling no touch no breath - Hollywood beautiful airbrushed complexions no blemishes or wrinkles - live out their last years lonely and spinsters - MTV generation pimping their rides - make overs - this old house extreme make overs - clean sweep - wife swap - the nanny - dr phil oprah Winfrey - judge Judy and csi who done it agatha Christies and hitchcocks on steriods - we tv'od it - we will use it to retreat to - lost in a fantasy world forget about your problem - get your mind off of it it will all go way - I just received another credit card whose line is it anyway - YouTube and google and facebook too you tweet you twit - it's all up to you - the remote the channels too many to choose when you look again all time is gone - creativity lost as you are living a fantasy - you will never know what could have come out of you - your life is faded away always hoping for tomorrow waiting for a better day. It's thanksgiving but no ones thankful it's Xmas and hannukah and what meaning is this - time to make some more money they are looking for happiness - the most wonderful time - lonely - broken homes separation - single parent homes - I should have given you up for adoption you should have never been born - in primary school and on discovery I see that we all came from monkeys and should still be swinging in trees - the world the minds say just evolved - wow it takes more faith to believe that than stories of old. Everyone ones looking for happiness and the American  way - they all looking for a brighter day - he hustle and bustle and traffic jams too - waiting with your buzzer at a restaurant it's just a table for 2 - the gps is not working I could not find the place - my cell has no coverage and my check is in the mail - an apples not an apple in looks only you will see - there's a worm in the apple - I just bit one you see. It's america it's progress it's the 21 St Century and we are Free!
